With a strong training history behind him, Brendan Irving is an incredibly versatile young talent.

After graduating from the Music Theatre program at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts, Brendan received the Bound For Broadway Scholarship from the Talent Development Project & American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

He then went on to perform as a soloist for legendary lyricist Sheldon Harnick’s Broadway Up Close and Personal at The John F. Kennedy Centre in Washington DC and the Rick Jensen directed cabaret Bound for Broadway in New York.

Back home, Brendan has since made a strong name for himself, understudying Zack Mayo in Gordon Frost Organisation’s 2012 production of An Officer and A Gentleman and appearing as Rocky in the 2014 and 2015 Australian tours of Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show.

In 2017 Brendan worked with Gordon Frost Organisation again for their hit season of The Bodyguard, The Musical as the sinister stalker and later that year reprised his role as Rocky in the 2017/2018 national tour of GFO’s Rocky Horror Show.

Most recently, Brendan performed with Opera Australia in Turandot.

Brendan is also an accomplished aerial acrobat specialising in silks and trapeze and is a resident aerialist of Sydney’s Slide Lounge El Circo.

He is a proud Lululemon Athletica ambassador and founder of The Movement Academy Australia; a physical training program for performing artists, calisthenics enthusiasts and everyday athletes with a passion for enhanced movement.
