A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Bridget is one of today’s most versatile crossover artists.

Soprano Bridget Patterson graduated from Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing her studies with both an Advanced Diploma of Opera in 2014 and a Bachelor of Music Performance in 2011. Whilst studying, Bridget was the recipient of the prestigious Helen Myers scholarship for vocal excellence, as well as a significant scholarship from the Paton fund for 6 successive years.

Bridget has recently performed with Opera Australia in their productions of La Boheme (2018) and Carmen (2017) on Sydney Harbour. In 2018 she performed the role of Susan in Limelight on Oxford’s production of Company by Sondheim and finished the year as one of the “Young stars of Australian Opera” in Carols in the Domain.

Bridget featured as a singer in Bruce Beresford’s 2018 feature film Ladies in Black and played the role of Jenny in Canvas Collective’s Beatrice: The Professional Understudy. She has appeared on stage as a vocalist for Hans Zimmer in his 2017 national tour and for Metropolis Touring’s ABBA Spectacular in 2018.

Whilst at the Opera school at Sydney Conservatorium Bridget performed roles which include: Amy in Little Women, Miss Pinkerton in The Old maid and the Thief, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Fidalma in Il Matrimonio Segreto, Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld and Annie Lock in the world premiere of Daisy Bates at Ooldea. Other credits include the role of the Beggar woman in Sydney University Musical Theatre Ensembles production of Sweeney Todd.

With extensive work in Oratorio and sacred masses, further performances include: Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli, Beethoven’s Mass in C Major Op.86, Bach’s Magnificat in D Major and Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D Minor and in 2012 she was the Mezzo-Soprano soloist in Sydney Town Hall’s annual Messiah by Handel. Bridget has toured with David Miller AM in The Great Southern Tour and has also recorded for ABC classic FM.

Combining a love for Opera with her passion for acting and dance, Bridget has been drawn to the world of Musical Theatre.
