OCTAVIA BARRON MARTIN

Octavia graduated from WAAPA in 2001 with a BA in Music Theatre. Prior to WAAPA she appeared in the feature film Looking For Alibrandi and upon graduating, The Honourable Wally Norman 

Her theatre credits include Mrs Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (GFO), Love’s Triumph, Young Tycoons and LaLa Land (Darlinghurst Theatre/Spooky Duck); Vincent in Brixton, Losing Louis and Absurd Person Singular (Ensemble Theatre); Debbie Does Dallas The Musical (Three Amigos/Rockcity), Influence and Kittenbone Bridge (STC), Fiddler On The Roof (TML), The Hatpin (Whitebox/Gooding Productions), LOVEBites (Whitebox), Little Women (Kookaburra), The 39 Steps (Angelfire/Tinderbox), What a Shock ‘n Shame (New Theatre), the National regional tour of Breast Wishes (Bien Etre), Belongings (Whitebox/Civic Theatre Wagga Wagga).  

Octavia has understudied the role of Madame Thénardier (playing the role in excess of 60 times) in the Australian tour of Les Misérables and cast as Mrs Hopkins in Julie Andrew’s My Fair Lady (Opera AU / John Frost).

She is currently starring as Mrs Gloop in GFO’s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
