KYLE NOZZA

A graduate from Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Kyle is a seasoned performer that has worked across Australia.

Kyle is a seasoned performer, having performed in Sydney, Wollongong and Queensland. Before moving away to study musical theatre, Kyle performed in several musicals with Illawarra theatre companies including most prominently Enjolras in Les Misérables, Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Gabe in Next to Normal, The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. His dramatic theatre credits over the years include roles in such as Orlando in As You Like It, Lon Lamb in Cloudstreet, Roy in Cosi and Max in the comedy Lend Me a Tenor.

In 2015, Kyle received a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical at the Canberra Area Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. At the same ceremony Kyle received the Mary Porter Professional Development Scholarship. Whilst studying, Kyle toured Queensland with the schoolies awareness program Choices in conjunction with Queensland Police and worked with some of Australia’s leading directors and international musical theatre stars such as Peter Cousens, Jason Langley, Chloe Dallimore, Liam McIlwain, Glen Hogstrom, Kim Hardwick and Dale Pengelly. Whilst at the Conservatorium Kyle performed in such roles as Nicely in Guys and Dolls, Stine in City of Angels, Enoch Snow in Carousel, Nanki-Poo in The Mikado, Lord of the Underworld in Eurydice and Frank Abignale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can. During Kyle’s training he has had the fantastic opportunity to have musical theatre workshops with the incredibly talented Nikki Snelson (Legally Blonde), Simon Pryce (Phantom of the Opera, The Wiggles), Peter Saide (Desperate Measures, Jersey Boys), Matthew Lee Robinson (Metro Street, Pippin) and Peter Cousens (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables).

Since returning to Sydney, Kyle has kept busy, having had the opportunity to perform as Roscoe Dexter in Singin in the Rain, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Marius in Les Misérables (directed by Geraldine Turner), Emmett in Legally Blonde, Tobias in Sweeney Todd and Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys. Kyle has also recently joined The Three Waiters as the Third Waiter.
