CHRISTIE KOPPE

On stage, Christie has enjoyed playing Joanne (Rent), Toni (Trouble in the Band) and Woman 1 in Edges by Pasek & Paul (dir. Benita de Wit), Mean Factory Girl (Les Misérables), KitKat Klub dancer (Cabaret) and lead singer/comedienne USyd Arts Revue. Whether it be strait-laced Sgt Sarah Brown (Guys & Dolls), fevered Miss Anita Spark (From The Stars) or hilarious Barb (Motherhood, The Musical), Christie relishes in finding vivid characters.

Christie has appeared in various roles for Veritasium, a popular YouTube channel and educational brand that produces humorous videos about science, engineering and mathematics. She has also appeared as an extra on Underbelly (Network Ten), White Collar Blue (Network Ten) and feature film Garage Days. Sharing her love and knowledge of all the Arts, Christie hosted a segment on Eastside FM radio called Christie’s Theatre Spot for two years.

She is fluent in Italian and Spanish and has spent time studying in both Italy and Spain as well as extended time in Ecuador. This was where she enjoyed performing her first production in Spanish, the Title Role of La Vendedora in La Vendedora de Nubes. Her role as Rose in Titanic saw her troupe take out first prize in Santa Elena province, then going on to represent the province, broadcast across all national TV channels simultaneously.
